HORSEBACK RIDING CAMP

This year the JP2 Club partnered with Skyrock Farms in Hamel, Minnesota for a one-day horse camp. Another camp is in the works for next summer. Hope you can join us. Here are some of the details.

When: TBD

Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Location:   Skyrock Farms in Hamel, Minnesota. 

Cost:   TBD

Age:   The camp is geared towards 7 – 15 year olds (7-10 in one group, 11-15 in another going at the same time that day)

Details: The one day camp teaches basic horsemanship from the ground up. This includes: 

• horse care
• horse anatomy & terminology
• and riding of course! 
• Campers are introduced to the responsibilities of caring for, riding, and owning a horse.
  
  
  

What does my child need?

• Breeches or stretchy jeans and boots with a heel, or sturdy tennis shoes, and T-shirt. No cracks/clevege/belly-buttons please.
• A bag or backpack with nut free lunch, 2 snacks and water bottle. 
• Shorts for after riding. 
• Sunscreen
• Bathing suite and towel - on hot days we may get wet (slip-n-slide & water games)!

What does Skyrock Farm supply?

• Safety helmet (if you do not have your own)
• Horse or pony
• All of the tack!
